Question 1

What exactly is a Mirror Will?

Accepted Answer

A Mirror Will is a pair of nearly identical Wills prepared for spouses or partners. Each person signs their own Will, but the two documents mirror one another in their beneficiaries, executors, and guardianship arrangements — so the family's wishes stay consistent.

Question 2

Is Mirror Will a government entity?

Accepted Answer

No. Mirror Will is a private legal-tech service provider. The platform assists clients with Will preparation, professional review, and guided registration support. Registration is completed through the relevant official authority process.

Question 3

Where is the service available?

Accepted Answer

Mirror Will is designed for individuals and couples with UAE-located assets or interests. The application can be completed online from anywhere in the world.

Question 4

Do I need to be a UAE resident?

Accepted Answer

No. The service is open to UAE residents and to non-residents with assets, property, or business interests in the Emirates.

Question 5

Who should consider creating a Mirror Will?

Accepted Answer

Couples and parents with UAE residency, expats with UAE assets, property owners, business owners, investors, and global citizens with UAE holdings should consider a properly structured Will.

Question 6

Is the service open to Muslim clients?

Accepted Answer

The Mirror Will service is structured around the applicable civil-law framework for eligible non-Muslim clients. Muslim clients should seek guidance from a specialised provider, as different rules apply.

Question 7

Can unmarried partners use the service?

Accepted Answer

Mirror Will is offered as a couple's package for spouses. If you have a different family structure, please contact us so we can advise on the best option.

Question 8

Can I complete my Mirror Will online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The preparation journey is fully online, with guided support for the required registration steps.

Question 9

How long does the whole process take?

Accepted Answer

Most couples move from application to registration in about two weeks. Timings depend on how quickly information is provided and on authority scheduling.

Question 10

Do I need to attend anything in person?

Accepted Answer

Most steps are remote. If an in-person attendance is required for notarization or registration, we explain it in advance and coordinate the scheduling.

Question 11

Can I update my Will later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After major life events — a new child, a new property, or a change in marital status — your Will can be updated at a clearly stated update fee.

Question 12

How much does the service cost?

Accepted Answer

The Couple's Mirror Will Package is a fixed fee of AED 2,999 — for two registered Mirror Wills, all taxes included.

Question 13

What is included in the AED 2,999 service fee?

Accepted Answer

The fee includes online Will preparation, professional review, certified Arabic translation, notarization coordination, ADJD registration guidance, and client support throughout the process.

Question 14

Are there hidden fees or extra charges?

Accepted Answer

No. The service fee is fixed. Any government or authority charges (when applicable) are paid directly to the authority and are communicated up front before they occur.

Question 15

Can I pay in instalments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Payments can be split into two instalments — 50% at the start and 50% before the registration step — at no additional cost.

Question 16

Is ADJD registration included?

Accepted Answer

The service includes guided support for the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department registration process. Final registration is subject to the applicable authority requirements and individual circumstances.

Question 17

What if my circumstances are unusual?

Accepted Answer

Eligibility and outcomes may vary based on individual circumstances. We confirm eligibility before preparation begins and will let you know if your situation is better served by a specialised law firm.

Question 18

Will I receive proof of registration?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once registration is confirmed, your registered Will copies are stored securely in your client area for ongoing access.

Question 19

Can I appoint guardians for my children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The online journey allows eligible clients to nominate guardians for minor children as part of their Will preparation.

Question 20

Can I include UAE property and bank accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can provide details about UAE property, bank accounts, business interests, vehicles, and other relevant assets during the preparation process.

Question 21

What about assets outside the UAE?

Accepted Answer

The Mirror Will service focuses on UAE-located assets. For assets in other jurisdictions, a separate Will in that jurisdiction is typically recommended.

Question 22

Is my information confidential?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The process is designed around confidentiality, privacy, and secure handling of sensitive client information.

Question 23

How is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Client information is stored in a secure environment with access limited to the small team working on your case. Documents remain accessible to you through your client area.

Question 24

Can I delete my data after registration?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to any record-keeping obligations that apply to a legal-tech service.
